Welcome to the Village & Town of Mexico, New York
Town of Mexico Water Notice– May 14, 2026
The Town of Mexico would like to inform residents that a water main break occurred on State Route 104 late in the evening on May 13, 2026. At this time, no customers have lost water service as a result of the break, and the water remains safe to drink.
Residents may notice some sediment or discoloration in their water due to the force of water moving through the lines. If this occurs, simply allow your cold water to run for a short time to help flush the line.
The Village Water Department does not have the specialized equipment necessary to complete the repair; however, assistance has been arranged and crews are expected to repair the water main on May 15, 2026.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this repair is completed.
